Go beyond limits: Our Adventure with the All-New Mitsubishi Triton

 

We’re all about pushing boundaries and exploring new places. Whether it's a quick weekend getaway or a full-blown off-road adventure, we’re always on the lookout for a vehicle that can keep up with us.

Thanks to Mitsubishi Grand Canyon Iloilo, we recently had the chance to get behind the wheel of the all-new Mitsubishi Triton, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

Built for Adventure:

First things first, this truck is BIG. Compared to its predecessor, the Triton boasts a wider stance and increased overall size. This translates to a more imposing presence on the road and a surprising amount of interior space.  Think road trips with friends, camping gear, the whole shebang – the Triton can handle it all.

Power & Performance:

Now, let's talk about what really matters: how this beast performs.  Under the hood, the GLS variant I tested packs a punch with a 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine. This translates to serious pulling power (that 430Nm torque is no joke!), making even the hilliest terrains a breeze. Plus, the 6-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth gear changes, keeping the ride comfortable and enjoyable.

Safety First:

Exploring new places is all about creating memories, but safety is always paramount.  The Triton takes this seriously, offering a comprehensive suite of advanced safety features.  Blind-spot warning with lane keeping assist? Check.  Forward collision mitigation that can potentially prevent accidents? Absolutely.  These features, along with the usual suspects like airbags and ABS,  gave us peace of mind  whether I was cruising down the highway or navigating a bumpy dirt track.

Comfort & Convenience:

Let's not forget about comfort! The Triton's interior is surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system kept us entertained on long drives, while the dual-zone climate control ensured everyone stayed cool (or warm, depending on the weather). Little touches like the smart entry system and push-button start added a touch of luxury to the overall experience.

Off-Road Prowess:

While we mostly stuck to paved roads on this trip, the Triton's capabilities go far beyond that.  The available 4WD system (on select variants) makes it a true off-road champion.  For those who love getting down and dirty, the high ground clearance and rugged suspension will have you conquering any terrain with confidence.
